'77 Nantucket is bACK

In 1977, Glenaan Robbins designed the first miniature Nantucket lightship basket in solid gold for her new little store on Straight Wharf. Nobody had thought to turn Nantucket's signature handbag into a piece of jewelry and sure enough, they went viral before viral was a thing. Three years later, she opened her flagship, aptly-titled The Golden Basket, at 44 Main Street. Her baskets later grew to incorporate scrimshaw, precious stones and many size variants that function as the ultimate Nantucket heirloom.

'77 Nantucket is a contemporary and accessible retelling of The Golden Basket's origins, brought to life by Glenaan's oldest son, Kip Robbins. After a whole lot of rummaging, Kip unearthed The Golden Basket's original molds and was inspired to breathe new life into his mom's designs.

Every summer reveals just how much our little island continues to grow and change. '77 Nantucket aims to preserve tradition with vintage-made sterling and gold-plated charms strung on bold, funky, layer-able and durable paracord that's both precious and peak island-cool.
